It is a common phenomenon in some countries that parents punlish their children for their wrong doings by hurting thrie bidies. While on the contrary ,in other countries, the physical punishment to children is  considered to be immoral and illegal. In these countries, any parents who commit such behaviours are put into jail and deprived of the right of the custody of their children. I am the firm supportor of the latter.

 

As a young child, he first feels and learns how to love and be considerate under his parents' affection and attention. If he is punished physically regularly, what else could he learn about the world except the hatred to others including to his parents? As a result, his personality is distorted and becomes potentially hazardous to the society, especially when he has grown up to be an adult. Violence just trains children how to act violently in the same way.

 

Another, how does a child's young tender body withstand periodical physical punishment? Excessive punishment is to destroy his health and maturity both physically and mentally, and severe beating may cause his disability.

 

What does physical punishment do except to frighten children? It is proved more effective and lasting to make children aware of their mistakes under their parents' instruction and then correct them consciously. (216 words)
